Contractors Architects for CDP elements within a traditional contract
The grade 2 listed Old War Office, a magnificent Victorian building to house the governments many war planning civil servants in Whitehall now repurposed as a hotel and residencies of the highest standards. We were responsible for the contractors design portions of the construction which included extending the building by another storey, the design of a grand marble staircase, window and wall designs to match the original building, the extension of most of the original staircases , extensive internal and external stone and timber detailing, and carefully replicating Victorian brick detailing and the more mundane, but necessary extensive basement waterproofing.
